Yan Mujie zongoraművész a Royal Conservatoire of Scotland és a St Andrews-i Egyetem Doctor of Performing Arts képzésének doktorjelöltje. Kutatása Leoš Janáček és Bohuslav Martinů billentyűs zenéjének összehasonlító, gyakorlatorientált vizsgálatára irányul. Jelen hangversenyen e szerzők fontos zongoraműveiből nyújt válogatást, a cseh drámaiság és kifejezőerő gazdag világát feltárva. Doktori kutatómunkájával párhuzamosan egy új, rövid zongoradarab ősbemutatójára is sor kerül, amely Ian Alexander amerikai zeneszerző és klasszikus gitárművész alkotása.

Pianist Mujie Yan is a Doctor of Performing Arts candidate at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of St Andrews. Her research explores and compares the keyboard music of Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů. In this concert, she brings their major piano works to life, guiding the audience through a vivid journey of Czech dramaticism and vibrant expression. Alongside her research, she is thrilled to present the world premiere of a new short piano piece written by American composer and classical guitarist Ian Alexander.
